May is Motorcycle Awareness Month

Sunday marks the start of May and the beginning of Motorcycle Awareness Month. Across the country, state and local governments are issuing proclamations raising awareness of motorcycle related issues. If your local government has taken action to promote motorcycle awareness, please share it with the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF). We love seeing how local bikers, working with elected officials, are spreading the word.

The MRF encourages all motorists to do their part to ensure our roads are safe for all users. All those on the road should look twice, maintain a safe distance and be vigilant when turning or changing lanes, so everyone gets home safety. Motorcycles play a critical part of our transportation network; let’s make sure all Americans think about the 10 million bikers on the road.

Across the country the weather is getting warmer, and bikers are out on the road. Enjoy the month of May and, as always, Ride Safe and Ride Free.
